Flower Market Associate


San Antonio Flower Company is a European-style flower market offering the highest quality cut flowers, greenery, foliage, and blooming plants in the San Antonio area. We also carry floral supplies such as foam, paint, vases, moss, and cut flower food, and offer wholesale pricing to qualified businesses and individuals.

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Flower Market Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with flowers and plants, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is a part time position 20/30 hours per week, including weekends. 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Greet and assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and floral supplies
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to both retail and wholesale customers
  • Assist with custom or large floral orders as needed
  • Ensure each customer has a positive and memorable shopping experience
  • Share basic flower and plant care instructions at checkout
  • Assist in store customers to ensure we exceed their expectations

Store Operations

  • Assist with unpacking and processing fresh flower shipments
  • Receive, verify, and organize inventory
  • Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays in the cooler, flower, and plant areas
  • Restock supplies and products as needed
  • Follow proper care and handling procedures for flowers and plants
  • Open and close the store as scheduled

Product & Promotion Support

  • Help create engaging in-store displays to showcase seasonal flowers, plants, and supplies
  • Assist with preparing content for social media promotions (optional)
 

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, customer service, or floral industry experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems
  • Ability to accept feedback and willingness to improve

Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization.
